We didn’t set out to build another temple of high-fives and shouting at 50 screens. We wanted a spot where the game is on, but the conversation is better. Steely’s is a neighborhood tavern in the heart of SE Portland designed for people who love the energy of a sports bar but prefer the soul of a local pub.

Whether you’re here to catch the Blazers, hide out from the rain, or argue about which neighborhood has the best record store, you’ve got a seat at the bar.

We believe tavern food shouldn't be an afterthought. Our kitchen is obsessed with the science of the Smashburger—crispy edges, gooey cheese, and zero fluff. Not a burger person? Our wings and wedge salad are already Hawthorne legends, and the fried bologna sandwich is the sleeper hit you didn't know you needed.
